K9 Freestyle: Dancing With Your Dog

This 4-week class is designed for the owners and their dogs to have fun.

YES, DOGS CAN DANCE!

Canine Freestyle Federation (CFF) Definition: Canine Freestyle is a choreographed performance organized with music, illustrating the training and joyful relationship of a dog and handler team. Freestyle is an excellent discipline to illustrate the conformation and movement of the dog. The reach, drive and beauty of an athletic, trained dog moving to music can take one’s breath away.

That’s the “dictionary” definition. FDC Defines K9 Freestyle as just plain fun!  This class is designed for students new to the sport of K9 Freestyle. This class will give you chance to learn what it is all about and how to get started.

You bring your dog, our instructor will furnish the music and the dance steps. You will be surprised what can learn in a short time and your dog will think they have found a new game.

FYI: You don't have to be a terrific human dancer either to enjoy this class.

What to bring:

Dog, 6 ft leash, water, lots of small treats

Class Fee: $40.00

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

**Dogs should know the basic obedience commands prior to take this class. **

All dogs, including purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome to participate in the American Kennel Clubs (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. Dogs must be old enough to have received necessary immunizations such as rabies vaccines.

  • Your dog will have good manners at home and in the community

  • Shows your fellow neighbors that you are a responsible dog owner

  • Lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events.

  • You will discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog.

  • You will increase your bond with your dog

At the end of this class session, you and your dog will be prepared to take the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test.
