About Family Dog Center of Illinois

Our goal is for you to have a warm, loving, friendly and well-behaved family pet - not a dog brutalized into submission.

As such, we only use Positive-Reinforcement training methods and we urge all of our clients to use No-Choke Training Collars.

At FDC,  we recognize that every dog has it's own personality and, like people, they learn differently.

By keeping our class size small (10-12 dogs) and with each class having a Two-Person Instruction Team (a highly experienced FDC-certified Instructor and a dedicated FDC-certified Assistant), our staff is able to recognize the specific needs of your dog and customize our training program, accordingly.

Training the family dog can be a fun family-project. As such, the entire family is always welcome to come to each class session (only one person in the training arena) to learn how the family, as a whole, can train the dog to become the type of family pet which you desire.
